We never recommend work before we know what your rifle actually needs. Every job follows the same discipline, whether it is a $95 diagnostic or a full custom build.

Diagnose
A documented bench evaluation. Findings graded red, yellow, and green, with a written report and exact prices for each option. The report is yours to keep.

Build
Actions blueprinted and trued. Barrels chambered to under .0005 inch runout. Benchrest standards on every job that crosses the bench.

Authorize
Nothing proceeds without your written approval. You choose the tier of work based on the report. No surprises, no unnecessary work.

Prove
Every build is tested and zeroed before it leaves. You receive a confirmed Redleg dope card with field data. The rifle is proven, not promised.

Brandon Lolkus founded Redleg in 2016 in Slayton, Minnesota, after a three-year gunsmithing and machining degree at Pine Technical College and training under Gordy Gritters. Army National Guard combat veteran, retired. In 2023 the company outgrew its first shop and bought its current building on Main Ave in Chandler.
Bo Ilse, fellow veteran, runs front of shop and keeps every job moving. Ashton Wynia has trained under Brandon since age 14 and builds to the same standard.
Every rifle gets the same discipline from intake to delivery. If it does not shoot, it does not leave.

Every Redleg build starts with your bullet. We design the chamber, twist rate, and barrel around it, then test, zero, and document the system before it leaves the shop. You take home a complete ballistic system, not just a rifle.
